Broderick Turner is a researcher and artist from Atlanta, GA working between Blacksburg, VA and Washington, DC. Broadly, his research tries to identify and solve underspecified problems of technology, race and prejudice in the marketplace. His research has been published twice in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (where both are in the top 5% of all research outputs scored by Altmetric in terms of attention), the Journal of Marketing, and Current Opinion in Psychology, where he is co-editor on a special issue on Artificial Intelligence.
His art practice covers hope, joy, and the upper limits of mild ambition. He is medium agnostic, but his work tends to feature the written word, digital manipulation, chalk, oops paint, and custom plywood canvases.
